It was such a fun week for us. We have lots of pics to share. We all joined in the fun this week and enjoyed tricks, treats and more treats. We're sharing photos of our friends as well because let's face it... kids are cute!

It was funny to watch 2 year olds learn the ropes.
You could tell that they were amateurs because the first couple of homes we visited, they skipped the candy offering and just walked into peoples' homes. I think they thought we were there for a visit. Didn't take long before they began to understand the concept of free "canny" as Charlie calls it. "Pops" became his favorite (Tootsie Pops) and he began to seek out pops at every home.
Remlinger Farms
Alathia Mom's Group http://www.alathia.org/ took the kids to Remlinger Farms http://www.remlingerfarms.com/ to pick pumpkins for Halloween. Remlinger is a favorite here and more than just a place to pick seasonal produce. You will get the idea as you look through our photos.
Yee-ha!
Charlie yelled yee-ha while he road and after he got off of the horse, he said he rode "like Papa".
Group ride!
The kids loved anything that they could do without parent supervision. This is a sort of mini ferris wheel where they are completely locked in. The boys were gung ho and couldn't wait to get on. Sylvia is the only little girl in our playgroup and while she wants to do what the boys are doing although she's a bit more cautious. If you look closely in the photo, she's holding tightly to Charlie. She gripped his arm throughout the ride.
Charlie and Joshua.
Joshua is 4 years old and Charlie adores him because he's a "big boy". Joshua is really helpful and patient with Charlie. Several times during our day at the farm, Charlie refused to hold Mommy's hand, but when asked if he would hold hands with Joshua, he agreed. Josh would lead him from one activity to another while the mommies trailed behind looking on. Josh can become overly zealous at times though, practically dragging Charlie with him. Charlie loves it!

He was very frustrated with Mommy on this ride. He had ridden a couple of others alone and didn't understand why he couldn't ride this one by himself as well. It goes round and round and up and down and children have to be supervised. He kept saying "no Mommy" and trying to push me out of the pumpkin until he realized that it goes pretty fast and Mommy was nice to have after all.

This is one of Charlie's favorite areas of Remlinger Farm. The petting zoo has lots of little animals that the children can feed and they are so gentle and very friendly.
