January 2007

We've had a wild winter here in the Pacific Northwest. We've had two more major snow storms this month, one they even referred to as a blizzard. We survived, stayed warm and enjoyed the beautiful snow, although we have been stuck in the house a little more than we like.

We had approximately a foot of snow dumped on us within a few hours one night.

We use this flower basket on our back patio as our measuring instrument to see how much snow has accumulated.

My First Sleepover

This is my friend Joshua. He's a big boy (he's 3), but we play together quite well. He came to spend the night recently (well part of the night). He stayed with us while his Mommy and Daddy were visiting some neighbors. We played and jumped alot! Mommy let us watch a video before bed because she said we needed to slow down. We had a bedtime snack and then read books. Having a friend sleepover is fun!

My favorite is the water fall.

First you have to put on your rubber smock...

KidsQwest, my newest favorite place.

Mommy takes me to KidsQwest and there are lot of activies where I can learn and play.

...then you can splash and splash!

We invited my friend Eli and Jack to go to (this is Eli in the picture).

There are lots of other games and activies too.

This one I call the stuffed animal pit.

January has been a quiet month, probably because we've been snowed in alot. But I'm growing fast and keeping Mommy and Daddy very busy.

By the way, at my 15 month checkup, I weighed 31 pounds and measured 33 inches tall. I'm going to be a big tough guy like my Daddy!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Sorry I've been out of touch...

...I've been a little out of it.

Winter in Washington

We've had flooding, we've had snow, we've had hurricane winds and we've had power outages. Then Mommy and I had a really bad cold. So December was a bit frustrating at times, but we made the best of it.

P.S. (If you didn't receive your Christmas gifts on time. Please forgive us.)

Look how much snow we had.

When things got really tough and we lost power,

we checked into the Fairmont Hotel in the city for warm food, warm showers, warm beds AND...

...watching Little Einsteins of course!

Cool hair, huh?

There was a cute little baby staying in our hotel room.

We kissed the little baby goodbye and headed for home.

After our stay in the city, we felt better and were much happier.

Now we were ready to continue with the holiday festivities.

We made gift boxes for our friends and neighbors,

and filled them with gingerbread men and other goodies.

We did a little Christmas shopping.

Mommy and Daddy put up all the decorations (I really liked the Santa portrait).

The table was set for a Christmas dinner party and the fun began.

Christmas with Mommy.

Christmas with Daddy.

And then on to the presents!!!

I got a Thomas the Train table and chairs.
