My Very First Movie

I went to see my very first movie this afternoon. Cars! It was great fun! I think Daddy wanted to see it the most. He mentioned something about Nascar? I heard Mommy say that we could all go to a real race, but only if it is the race in Sonoma, California. Mommy and Daddy ate popcorn while I had a bottle. I took a nap, but I was able to see the beginning and the end. What more do you need to know, right?

This Weekend We Visited Vancouver, British Columbia

What a beautiful city!

We watched the cruise ships coming and going.

There was water here...

there...

and everywhere!!!

So many pretty things to see (and feel).

Daddy and I found Batman (sort of).

Time to stop for a juice break.

HUH?

Did you know Thomas the Train lives in Vancouver?

We stayed at the beautiful, historic Fairmont Hotel.

My first luxury hotel.

I'm not sure who was more excited. Me or Mommy?

We had a gorgeous view from our room.

What kind of a place is this?

They didn't even stock our bar with chilled Similac! Outrageous!

Whew! At least I found the remote.

Check out my crib.

The hotel staff brought me my very own crib to sleep in with a down comforter that was little guy size and a little pillow too! Ahhh the good life.

Mommy and I relax.

We wait for our chauffeur (that means Daddy).

Mommy and I sang songs all the way home.

It was a very busy week for me.

In case you haven't heard, I mastered the skill of crawling. It's hard work!

I'm very determined...

Got It!

We're going on a dog hunt.

I think I see something...

There she is!

After a busy weekend of exploring...

...we nap...

...until our next adventure...

Sunday Afternoon at the Issaquah Zoo

How lucky am I? Just down the road from my house, in the city of Issaquah is a zoo. It's home to cougars, lemurs, reindoor and many types of beautiful birds. We visited it today for the first time and it was really nice. Mommy says that next year we can buy an annual membership so that when I'm bigger and a need lots of exercise we can visit the zoo often.

Mount Rainier

The Mountain, the Park and My First Picnic

We visited Mount Rainier this month and it was completely breathtaking. We would love to share
all of our beautiful photos, but there are too many. You just have to come and visit to see the amazing mountains for yourself. While we were in the National Forest, we stopped for my very first picnic. It was fun! Can you imagine a blanket of leaves above with the sun breaking through, listening to the melody of a stream nearby and only 73 degrees in July?!?! Fantastic!

Bathtime

Have I told you that bathtime is one of my favorite things? There's water and splashing and fish and frogs. Laughing and bubbles and splashing. Did I mention the splashing?

Daddy gives me my bath when he comes home from work at night. We have lots of fun.

My First 4th of July

I recently celebrated my very first 4th of July and it was great fun. The Issaquah Highlands community where we live held a huge celebration in the park that just happend to be right in front of our house. We had a cookout, a rock climbing wall, a youth choir sang, ponies to ride, and lots of games. Our church family at Alathia sponsored games for the little kids and we helped. Daddy manned the dart game and Mommy supervised the duck pond. I watched and cheered them on.

Charlie Bug

So I'm Charlie and my mommy calls me her Charlie Bug. She says she called me this before I was even born. I hope that very soon I'll be big enough to go for walks and find bugs of my own. This blog is a way for me to share my super fun life with my grandparents (or anyone else that may be interested) since I'm so far away. I love you all very much.
